Commitment to Youth
To build on the strengths of children, youth, and families so they find safety, hope, and success in life.
A residential treatment home in Conroe, Texas for youth ages 8–17 working through behavioral challenges, mental health disorders, and substance use — not as patients, but as children who deserve a family environment.
To provide youth in our care with a safe, nurturing and strength-based environment, while encouraging them to master the skills needed to be successful in their daily life.— The Mission of New Era RTC South
These aren’t statements on a wall. They show up in how staff handle a hard moment, how a treatment plan gets revised, and how a child is greeted at the door each morning.

To build on the strengths of children, youth, and families so they find safety, hope, and success in life.
Creating relationships with youth and families based on honesty and integrity — the kind that takes time to earn and longer to break.
We honor the dignity and worth of each person. We are considerate of each other’s feelings, values, and points of view.
We empower each other to take ownership of our words, actions, and results — staff and youth alike.
We strive for excellence and recognize our differences make us stronger. We respect and seek out inclusion of differences, realizing we can learn from each other.
New Era RTC South specializes in children’s behavioral health and the extra level of care that residential treatment provides. Most of the youth in our home come to us in DFPS conservatorship, working through more than one challenge at the same time.
Children whose behavior at home, school, or in earlier placements has outgrown what those settings can support.
Diagnoses ranging from anxiety and depression to PTSD and complex trauma — treated through individual, group, and family therapy on-site.
Drug and alcohol use addressed through trauma-focused, strength-based clinical work paired with daily structure and support — the goal is always reunification or a safe transition forward.
Case worker, clinician, guardian, neighbor — whoever’s calling, the conversation starts the same way. Pick up the phone, or come walk the campus.
